An article in Calcalist reviews the question of whether it is possible to hold the major companies criminally responsible for deaths related to climate disasters that occurred after they knew about the consequences of using their products and allegedly deceived the public about the dangers involved.
Shani Ashkenazi's article includes several interesting sources and a conversation with Prof. Barak, who heads the climate crisis history laboratory at Tel Aviv University, about the possibility of the legal systems and the criminal law to protect the public by imposing criminal liability on fossil fuel companies.
