Regional Climate - The Mediterranean region and the Middle East

The Mediterranean region is one of the most vulnerable regions in the world to climate change.

This area of engagement is focusing on regional collaboration in the Middle East and North Africa to mitigate and adapt to climate changes. Methods of action include knowledge sharing facilitation, connecting relevant stakeholders from different sectors, collaboration with civil society organizations and government, and research.

These endeavors are rooted in climate science, history, security, engineering and political science expertise and research, recent academic connections resulting from the international agreements between Israel and other countries. The action plan focuses on bringing together old and new players to examine innovative regional intervention methods in issues that have an impact on the climate such as energy production and consumption, assessments in coastal areas and climate-controlled construction, from the Mediterranean basin to the Gulf States.
